Armed criminals barged into the house of retired school teacher Shiv Shankar Singh late last night in Gantopur under Paru police station and gunned down Singh, his wife, daughter and an another woman, Deputy Superintendent of Police Arvind Gupta said.
Preliminary inquiry into the incident has indicated that an old land dispute is the reason behind the ghastly murder, the DSP said.
No arrest has been made so far, the DSP added.
