Rahul, the son of a retired Colonel, was apprehended yesterday, a fortnight after he allegedly stole the SUV.
According to police, Rahul took the SUV for a test drive from Khan Market on May 30.
He allegedly dropped off the showroom employee near DD flyover after making some excuse. He then fled with the car.
Rahul took the car to his house and allegedly told his father that it was a birthday gift for him. Fearing arrest, he did not use the SUV.
"We got a tip-off and arrested him yesterday," police said.
