Retired BSF personnel shot at, hospitalised

A retired BSF personnel was shot at and critically injured by militants outside a hospital in the city where he was working as a security guard, police said.

Nazir Ahmad, who had taken up a job as security guard at SMHS Hospital in Kaka Sarai area of the city following his retirement from BSF, was shot by the militants in the head, the police said.

They said Ahmad was admitted to the hospital where he was being operated upon. His condition was stated to be critical.

No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
