The retirement age of government doctors in Rajasthan will be raised from the present 60 years to 62 from the new financial year.
Announcing this in her budget speech today, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje said several posts of doctors and experts in government hospitals and medical colleges are lying vacant.
To ensure uninterrupted services in the hospitals, the age of doctors was being raised from 60 to 62 years from April 2016, she said.
