Yesteryears fashion is making a comeback with women again wrapped in zamindari style elegance for parties, as retro is always classical, Tollywood diva Debasree Roy says.

"Fashion cannot be static. It moves around in a cycle. One type of fashion comes and leaves in a jiffy. But it returns in a cycle after a phase. Fashion is changing that way," the doe-eyed girl in ever green romantic classic 'Dadar Kirti' told PTI at an event here.

And retro style can never age which goes well with a woman's personality, Debasree, having featured in Rituparno Ghosh's breezy Unishe April and broody Asookh apart from host of potboilers and family entertainers said.

Debasree, speaking at a make over and beauty session of a clinic, said, "While copying film stars had been the trend for years, now the girls are more conscious about chiseling their own fashion and style quotient as beauty products and spas have proliferated and everyone wants to look her self."

"We had done her make up for Didi Number One episode on Zee Bangla. And as our friend and brand ambassador she always shares her views about any film make up," well-known make-up artist and owner of Arpitaz, Arpita Ganguly said.

Debasree, the Trinamool Congress MLA, who will be hitting the campaign trail in next few days for LOk Sabha candidates, said, "Sun screen lotions will shield my skin and liquid intakes to keep trim."

"During my campaign as candidate for the assembly polls I had slogged from 8 am to 6 pm every day in summer," the de-glamourised village belle in Swabhoomi said.
