Revenue official held for taking bribe of Rs. 50,000

Acting on a complaint the vigilance team headed by the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kanishka Kumar laid a trap and arrested the tainted revenue official Kamlesh Singh as soon he took graft from a complainant Vishwanath Singh, the Additional Director General of Police (ADG), Vigilance, P.K. Thakur said.

Singh had taken the bribe for changing the title change dispute of a a property in his favour, he said.

It was the 38th trap laid by the vigilance bureau against corrupt public servants this year and 44 such officials have been arrested, Thakur said.
