Revised pay structure approved by Himachal cabinet

The decision, aimed to benefit large number of employees in Himachal, will put an additional burden of Rs 550 crore per annum on the state government, officials sources said.

The cabinet gave its nod to implementation of Assured Career Progression Scheme under a three-tier system to all categories of state employees with effect from August 27, 2009.

It also decided to notify revised enhanced daily wages from Rs 130 to Rs 150 from September 1, 2012, with additional 25 per cent wages to daily wagers working in tribal areas.

The revised daily wages shall be applicable in private sector as well.

 

The cabinet decided to introduce an award scheme to the technical employees, engaged in various construction activities, with a view to inspiring others to complete the projects within the allotted time frame.
