Rewards presented to policemen involved in nabbing terrorists

Tamil Nadu government today gave away over Rs two crore as reward to 238 police personnel, involved in nabbing of alleged terrorists last month.

Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, who had made an announcement earlier in this regard, gave away Rs 2.53 crore to 238 police personnel who were involved in intelligence gathering that led to the capture of 'Police' Fakrudeen, Bilal Malik and Panna Ismail.

Fakruddin was arrested from near here on October five and the other two nabbed from Puthur in Andhra Pradesh the next day following a gun battle with police.

They are key suspects in the 2011 Advani pipe bomb case and murder of some Sangh Parivar workers besides that of BJP.
 

Jayalalithaa had announced cash reward and promotions to the police personnel involved in nabbing the accused.
