Mollah, who did not give details of the meeting, however, told reporters that they discussed politics. "When two politicians meet they discuss politics," he said.
"I also told him (Chowdhury) to join CPI (M)," he said.
Admitting that he was for the formation of a third front, the UDF leader said, "We want a third force or front which will think of the future of Bengal".
Asked about the possibility of Mollah quitting CPI(M), Chowdhury said, "I don't know it. But he is not very happy in CPI(M)."
