An adult male rhino died today
after being stuck in a pit in world-famous Kaziranga National Park yesterday.
The rhino fell into a pit near Rongamati forest camp in Agratoli range of the Park yesterday, a Park official said.
Forest personnel tried to rescue the rhino but it died after nearly 24 hours of being stuck in the mud pit.
The horn of the rhino was intact, the official added.
