A forest guard was on Tuesday
attacked and killed by a rhinoceros inside the Kaziranga National Park, an official said.
The guard, Brikudar Bora, came under attack in the park's Kohora range, he said.
Bora was rushed to a local hospital following the attack, but he succumbed to his injuries, the official added.
The Assam government has closed all national parks and tiger reserves for visitors till March 29, as part of its measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
The Kaziranga National Park, an abode of one-horned rhinoceros, is a World Heritage Site, known for its successful conservation efforts. It draws wildlife experts, researchers and enthusiasts from across the world.
