Rice basmati and bajra prices drifted up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today owing to slackened demand against adequate stocks position.
Traders said low demand against higher supplies from producing belts mainly kept pressure on rice basmati and bajra prices.
In the national capital, rice basmati Pusa-1121 variety eased to Rs 6,000-6,900 against last close of Rs 6,000-7,000 per quintal.

Bajra also dropped to Rs 1,120-1,125 against last close of Rs 1,155-1,160 per quintal.
Atta flour mills and maida too ended lower at Rs 840-850 and Rs 900-910 as compared to previous levels of Rs 850-860 and Rs 905-915 per 50 kg, respectively on decline in demand.
