Rice basmati prices eased at the wholesale grains market today on adequate stocks on higher supplies from producing regions against sluggish demand.
However, maize edged up on increased demand from consuming industries.
Traders said sufficient stocks on the back of higher supplies from producing regions against slackened demand from retailers mainly kept pressure on rice basmati prices.

On the other hand, maize moved up by Rs 20 to Rs 1,670-1,720 per quintal.
