Rice basmati prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today due to adequate stocks on higher supplies against reduced offtake by stockists and retailers.
However, other grains continued to trade in a tight range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said adequate stocks position against subdued demand from retailers and stockists mainly kept pressure on rice basmati prices.
