Barring a rise in rice basmati prices on uptick in demand from retailers, other grains held steady at the wholesale grains market today in thin trade.
Traders said increased demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly attributed the rise in rice basmati prices.
In the national capital, rice basmati common and Pusa-1121 variety settled higher at Rs 6,900-7,200 and Rs 5,750-5,800 from previous levels of Rs 6,800-7,100 and Rs 5,700-5,800 per quintal respectively.
