A variety of food from some of the best dining places from China, Thailand, Japan, Burma and Malaysia was at offer here at Asian Hawkers Market.

The festival market brought together the finest places ranging from five-stars to casual dining eateries under one roof.

Running over the course of three days, the festival, apart from the old favourites, also offered some new and upcoming food joints that will soon be in business in the near future.

"Hahn Kitchen will start from 17th of this month which will offer lite bite Korean food. Flying TukTuk which is also about to start soon is offering the oriental street food whereas yet to open Travity is coming up with all types of comfort foods including pizza, pasta, and burger," said Atul Sikand, co-founder of the Asian Hawkers Market.

The food festival also had a flea market offering lifestyle products.

"For the first time we have introduced flea market which offers clothes, accessories, pickles, and other lifestyle products," says Sikand.

The food festival at Select City Walk registered an estimated footfall of about 65 thousand people during its run.

"It is the best-attended food festival in the city with the highest footfall. We keep it to only oriental food without any confusion with other foods," says Sikand.

Some foodmakers also took this opportunity to showcase some of their new products to gauge the initial response.

"This is a good platform to showcase not only the old things we are offering but also to introduce the new products we have to our consumers," says Ravi Kumar, SR at Veeba.
