"Arun Kumar, a resident of Kadora ka pura village of Madhya Pradesh's Bhind district, was arrested yesterday with the help of local police after raids at various places," a senior police official said today.
On the intervening night of May 27 and 28, Kumar and Narendra Gupta, a resident of Krishna Nagar in Karol Bagh, had a scuffle after the latter objected to the 23-year-old rickshaw puller sleeping in front of his shop.
Gupta had earlier also asked Kumar not to sleep there, police said.
During interrogation, Kumar revealed that Gupta again asked him not to sleep in front of his shop on the fateful night.
"On this, a scuffle broke out between the two and the victim slapped him. Enraged, Kumar took out a wooden stick and in anger, hit the victim on his head. After that, he got scared and fled away," CP (Traffic Police) D C Srivastav said.
