Mizoram Police today seized one AK-47 assault rifle in Aizawl and arrested one person in this connection.
Aizawl district SP Lalhuliana Fanai said Lalhmachhuana (55) of Mizoram-Bangladesh border Phungdungsei village was arrested for possession of the rifle.
Police suspected that the assault rifle might have been smuggled from Myanmar and the accused was known to be a gun-runner.
