The 'Umbrella' singer, 24, took the plane from New Orleans, Louisiana just to visit her maternal grandmother Clara 'Dolly' Braithwaite, who is currently being treated for cancer in the Big Apple.
"Came to NY, just for this moment right here!" she tweeted on Saturday, sharing a emotional black-and-white photo of herself hugging Braithwaite in her hospital bed.
"Bye NY. From NO to NY to LA in less than 24 hrs. Roc (sic) star," she added, while hopping back into the flight to Los Angeles.
