RIL bags healthy workplace award

Reliance Industries Ltd has been adudged winner of the first Platinum Healthy Workplaces Award of the Arogya World India Trust in collaboration with Public Health Foundation of India.

The Platinum awards represent highest level of this global health non-profit organization's Healthy Workplace programme awards to recognize the important role that companies play to improve the health of their employees and their communities, a press statement said.

Arogya and Public Health Foundation are among the country's most prestigious interlocutors in the nation's healthcare mission.

Selection criteria for these awards emphasized om quantitative workplace health metrics, evaluating wellness and health promotion programmes of the group delivered through lifestyle management, work-life balance programme and focused activities directed towards control of chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension, cancer and heart diseases among the employees.
 

The award was presented on November 9 here.

Among the seven pioneering companies in India displaying exemplary performance on evidence-based assessment, Reliance has scored the highest.

Leading corporates like IOC and HUL won Gold Awards for their contribution to the Healthy Workplace Programme.
