Shares of Reliance Industries Ltd surged over 5 per cent today , its fifth straight session of gains, on optimism over the company's plans to start 4G phone services later this year.
The blue-chip index ended 5.41 per cent higher at Rs 981.45 on the BSE. In intra-day, it soared 5.46 per cent to Rs 982.
At the NSE, the stock jumped 5.12 per cent to close at Rs 978.95.
