Anil Ambani-led Reliance Infrastructure (RInfra) has emerged as the lowest bidder for the four-laning of 66 km Vikkaravandi to Pinalur-Sethiyahopu section in Tamil Nadu to be executed on EPC basis, sources said.
The project, to be completed within a construction period of 24 months, is under government's flagship National Highway Development Programme (NHDP) and is funded by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
Other bidders included L&T, IL&FS and Punj Lloyd, sources said.
After a slowdown in the BOT segment, RInfra revamped its strategy to refocus on EPC business, targeting order book of Rs 50,000 crore by FY 19.
