Rio urged BSNL to provide consistent service to Nagaland

Lone Lok Sabha MP from Nagaland Neiphiu Rio today urged the main telecom service provider in the state - Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to provide consistent services to its consumers as telecom connectivity and internet services were crucial for development and progress.

Rio made the appeal during a meeting with BSNL officials, a statement issued by his press secretary Abu Metha said.

The MP, he said, urged the BSNL officials to make every effort to improve connectivity and also focus on providing quality internet services all over the state specially in the far flung areas with dependable broadband connections and reliable 3G networks.
 

Rio asked the officials to keep him updated on relevant matters so that he can take up the problems and concerns of the state and the region with the Centre and relevant ministries.

The BSNL officials briefed him on the progress of telecom developmental works in the state and the initiatives being undertaken for improvement of connectivity.
