Rishab, Prem score thumping wins

Cueists Rishab Pandya and Prem Prakash scored identical 4-0 victories in their respective opening rounds as the Bangalore Qualifying leg for the Indian Open began here today.

Maharashtra's Rishab beat Karnataka's Niranjan K 68-27, 66-09, 81 (64)-25, 65-02 while Tamil Nadu's Prem Prakash defeated Maharashtra's Ashith Deepak Panday 67-48, 66-47, 65-25, 77-50.

Karnataka's Balaji Reddy, L.Nagaraj, Germain Girish & K.S.Naveen Kumar also advanced to the next round comfortably as Naveen registered the highest break of the day - 70.

Vishal Vaya (Mah) beat Partiban (Kar)4-0: 48-28, 59-47, 66-10, 63-57

Germain Girish (kar) beat Rohit Sardeshmukh (Mah) 4-1: 47-56, 60-13, 61-48, 60-25, 58-17

I.V.Rajiv (AP) beat Abhijith More (Kar) 4-1: 49-39, 69-22, 41-69, 83-22, 77-19.
