Fourteen years after appearing together in Aparna Sen's "Paromitar Ekdin" Bengali film actress Rituparna Sengupta and 'Kaaminey' actor Rajatabho Dutta will team up again in a comedy.
The director of the comedy "Pati Parameswar", Jayasree Bhattacharya, said that it would have a feel of the 60s' blockbuster 'Subarnogolak' retold in a present day language.
She told PTI, "Rituparna played the role of a forever-dissatisfied wife of a police officer."

In 'Paromitar Ekdin', Rajatabho Dutta and Rituparna were husband and wife, but it was basically a relationship tale between mother Sanaka and her daughter-in-law Paromita, routinely abused by her husband.
"Unlike 'Paromitar Ek Din' here Rituparna's character demands a larger than life persona which can be the perfect foil to the authoritarian father etched by Rajatabha," she said.
"When I was narrating the script, Ritu laughed very much during the husband-wife sequence. I think being a woman she could better grasp the situations as envisaged by a woman director," Jayasree said to a question.
Rituparna said she was happy being paired together with Rajatabha again after "Paromitar Ekdin" happened in 2000.
"It is a film of different genre," she said.
