Borrowing the title of Rituparno Ghosh's festival awarded Sob Choritro Kalponic, the small screen avatar again recapitulates a loner woman's journey from sheltered to trouble-torn ways of life.

"Like poet-wife Bipasha Basu's character in the celluloid version, 'Sab Chortro Kalponik' soap also deals with one girl's journey from a secured, protected and fairytale life to the world of grim battle .

"For the first time in Bangla Entertainment, the setting of a prison is used as a backdrop for the entire show to hint at the caged life of a woman.. The serial is a typical tale of boy meets girl and then the unexpected changes in the girl's life where words fail and masks peel off," the director said about the soap opera on Star Jalsha.

"About the title bearing same name with a Ritupano classic,", the director calls "it coincidental". "But if that helps I increasing audience base I am all for it," he said.
