Rival groups clash in college; 1 injured

A clash today broke out between two rival groups of students at a college in the district leaving a student of BBA 2nd year critically injured, police said.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajesh Pandey said two rival groups in INMANTEC college here clashed over an old enmity.

The student, who was injured in firing during the clash, came to the college campus to appear for her 2nd year BBA examination.

College security guards immediately rushed the injured student to a nearby private hospital where she is undergoing treatment, Pandey said.

AN FIR has been registered in this connection and police is scrutinising CCTV footage to identify the accused, the Dy SP said.
