"Me and Earl and the Dying Girl" star RJ Cyler has signed on for the "Power Rangers" reboot as the Blue Ranger, production company Lionsgate has confirmed.

Cyler will be working alongside Naomi Scott (Terra Nova) as the Pink Ranger, Ludi Lin (Monster Hunt) as the Black Ranger and newcomer Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger, reported Variety.

Only the Yellow (and maybe Green) Ranger is left to complete the set.

This reboot of the "Power Rangers" franchise will be masterminded by Dean Israelite, the director behind this year's sci-fi movie "Project Almanac".

Star Trek's Roberto Orci was originally attached to produce the revival of the kids' series, but he quit the project last autumn.

"Power Rangers" opens in cinemas on January 13, 2017.
