"Kumar is behaving like a dictator by promising to annihilate adversaries in the next elections .... He has spoken like a wrestler when he does not appear to be one," senior RJD leader and the Leader of Opposition Abdul Bari Siddique said here.
Likening the law and order and political situation in the state with that during the period of emergency, Siddique said Kumar's remarks reminded of that era.
On the special status demanded by Kumar, he said it was the RJD government that had a got a resolution passed in the assembly in April 2002 for both special package and special assistance to Bihar to compensate for losses of resources arising out of bifurcation of the state two years earlier.
The 'Adhikar rally' on the special status issue was being organised "exclusively" by Kumar's JD(U) by "keeping out even ally BJP", besides opposition parties to make "political capital out of the issue", he claimed.
Kumar could have convened a meeting of NDA chief ministers and got a resolution passed by his counterparts, including Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, for giving credence to the issue, the RJD leader said.
