The BJP's Jharkhand unit today termed unfortunate the RJD leaders opposing their leader Lalu Prasad's discharge from the AIIMS in New Delhi to the RIMS in Ranchi.
"The RJD has long been demanding sending Lalu Prasad to a big hospital for treatment. Everything was okay so long as the government on the recommendation of the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) sent him to the AIIMS in New Delhi.
"But the RJD leaders could not digest when doctors in the AIIMS declared him fit to and returned him to Ranchi," party spokesman Pratul Shahdeo said in a press release.
Prasad, serving a jail term in fodder scam cases, left the AIIMS earlier in the day after being discharged by the hospital which said his condition had improved significantly, but his party termed the move a "conspiracy to murder him".
Shahdeo referred to media reports showing Prasad fit while talking to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
Stating that AIIMS doctors have also declared Prasad as fit, Shahdeo said the RJD leaders should remember that Prasad is in jail not because of any agitation but after conviction in the fodder scam case.
