"If Prasad is so strong and can influence the UPA government at the Centre than what prevents him from ensuring a special state category to Bihar?" he asked while talking to newsmen here.
Modi alleged that Lalu was 'patting himself on the back' and making 'tall claims' for the proposed central universities at Motihari and Gaya, a decision announed by the Centre recently.
The centre, he said, had decided to set up the two central universities in Bihar only after discussions between Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Union HRD minister Kapil Sibal in New Delhi a couple of months ago.
