Terming the defeat of the secular alliance in recent Legislative Council polls in Bihar as an "eye-opener", senior RJD leader Raghubansh Prasad today said party workers were not motivated seeing only Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's pictures on the hoardings and batted for more prominence to Lalu Prasad in Assembly poll campaigns.
"The loss for RJD, JD(U), Congress alliance in recent election on 24 seats of Legislative Council is an eye-opener before the crucial Assembly polls later this year for which we need to be working together at ground level," Singh told PTI.
"RJD workers are not enthused seeing the only photo of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in all promotional hoardings and banners with slogan like 'Age Badhta Rahe Bihar Phir Ek Bar Nitish Kumar' and others. They want photos of their leader Lalu Prasad also to energise them," said the former union minister.

"JD(U) is busy with its own programme while RJD has also chalked out its campaign schedule... Playing tune separately is creating confusion among workers and supporters of the two parties... There is a need to have joint programme addressed by top leaders of the alliance partners," he said adding he had conveyed his views to RJD supremo Lalu Prasad.
Singh made a scathing attack at BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is scheduled to start poll campaign in Bihar with a rally in Muzaffarpur on July 25.
"He made so many promises on the eve of Parliamentary poll but neither has the country got back the black money nor are kept other promises during the 14 months of the NDA government. People of Bihar would no longer believe in him," he said.
"People have realised that Narendra Modi has no consideration for common man and he was representing a handful of corporate houses," he said.
Meanwhile, Muzaffarpur BJP MLA Suresh Sharma said that the proposed letter of BJP addressed to citizens in favour of NDA and against Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad would reach the citizens in a day or two.
