A RJD youth wing leader has lodged a police complaint against a senior MLC of the ruling JD(U) accusing him of issuing threats over phone even as the latter refuted the allegations today.
Arun Kumar Yadav, spokesman of the RJD's youth wing, had yesterday lodged a complaint with the police alleging that he had received a telephone call wherein the caller identified himself as Sanjay Singh, who is also JD(U)'s chief spokesman.
He alleged that Singh hurled abuses at him saying "you spew a lot of venom against the Nitish Kumar government on social media".

Yadav also alleged that Singh had threatened him with dire consequences, warning that he might face coercive action by the administration and even physical elimination.
However, when contacted, Singh refuted the allegations saying he had never phoned the RJD youth wing leader and added, "law will take its own course".
Asked about the complaint lodged by Yadav, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Law and Order) Shibli Nomani said, "The matter is being investigated. Action will be taken based on the findings of the probe."
Meanwhile, the Leader of the Opposition in the state Assembly Tejashwi Yadav in a series of tweets today condemned the alleged threats by the chief spokesman of the ruling party to political activists who raise their voice on social media against the government.
