Rashtriya Lok Dal activists today burnt an effigy of Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu in Dempier Nagar here, alleging he failed to ensure incident-free running of trains.
The protesters shouted slogans against the Narendra Modi government and blamed Prabhu for the for the Utkal Express derailment in Khatauli in which 22 lives were lost.
They demanded that Prabhu resign over his "failure to ensure safety of rail passengers".
