Rastriya Lokdal (RLD) leaders today met Uttar Pradesh Governor B L Joshi and demanded immediate revocation of the suspension order of Noida SDM Durga Shakti Nagpal.

Led by party president Munna Singh Chauhan, RLD leaders submitted a memorandum to the Governor and also demanded a judicial inquiry into the "nexus" between the state government and sand mafia in the state.

The memorandum said claims of Samajwadi Party leader Narendra Bhati have exposed the nexus between the state and sand mining mafia raising doubts over Akhilesh Yadav led government.

It also said that though Gautam Budh Nagar's district magistrate in his report has ruled out Shakti's role in demolition of the wall, the government has suspended the officer clearing the role of sand mining mafia, including Bhati and his supporters in the move.
