The Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP), a constituent of the NDA, has formed a cleanliness committee in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, to spread awareness about maintaining cleanliness.
"No other party has formed a 'Swachhta Abhiyan Samiti' yet. We will have such panels at national and state levels too," Union Minister and RLSP president Upendra Kushwaha said.
Party leader Ravindra Singh has been appointed as the chief of the committee, Kushwaha said.
"To begin with, our Bihar unit has decided to make some panchayats open defecation free. We will engage in politics, and also in social activities. The Prime Minister has a special dream, we will work to fulfill it," the MoS for HRD said and appealed other parties to also form such committees.
