Press Trust of India Patna
Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP), an ally of BJP in NDA, today petitioned the Bihar Governor against the Nitish Kumar governments order to change name of a college after father of Union Minister of State Upendra Kushwaha alleging the JD(U) was doing this out of political vendetta.

RLSP state President Arun Kumar led a party team to Raj Bhawan and submitted a memorandum in this regard.

The RLSP President later told reporters that the Nitish Kumar government through a letter from state HRD department ordered change of name of Muneshwar Singh Munshewari Samata College under Bhim Rao Ambedkar Muzaffarpur University.

The government order proposed to name the university after Ram Manohar Lohia.

The Samata University is named after father of Union minister of state for HRD Upendra Kushwaha as his family is its doner.

The RLSP Bihar President alleged that the name changing exercise was carried at the behest of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar against whom the party has been running a state-wide campaign.

The memorandum urged the Governor to annul the state government order to change the name of the university.
