Railways has decided to run six special trains from Mumbai to cater to the rush of passengers for the Mahaparinibban Divas of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar on December 6.
Additionally, Konkan Railway will also run a special train between Madgaon in Goa and Mumbai.
The special trains will run between December 6 and December 8, said a senior rail ministry official.

Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has directed that adequate arrangements be made for water, lighting and other amenities for passengers on these trains, the official added.
All these special trains, with 12 General Second Class coaches, will have stoppages at Dadar, Kalyan, Kasara, Igatpuri, Nasik Road, Manmad, Chalisgaon, Jalgaon, Bhusawal, Malkapur, Jalamb, Akola, Murtizapur, Badnera, Damangaon, Pulgaon, Wardha, Sewagram, Ajni and Nagpur.
