The protesters blocked the G T Road at Jandiala town, about 25 km from here.
They alleged Vedanti in one of his books has made "blasphemous remarks" regarding their spiritual saint.
The agitators lifted the jam after being assured by the District Administration that legal action would be initiated against Vedanti for hurting "religious sentiments".
