The Uttar Pradesh government is preparing a road map to double the income of farmers and adoption of modern techniques is a way to achieve that, state Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi today said.
Addressing a seminar here today, Shahi said, "A concrete strategy is currently being deliberated upon, so that the income of farmers can be doubled in the next five years. Soon, this will be implemented throughout the state."
Shahi, on this occasion, also said the state government is continuously working to improve the conditions of the farmers.

"To double the income of farmers, it is necessary to increase the production of crops, and for this, the modern agricultural techniques have to be brought to the field. This will help to increase production in less cost, and also help the farmers to augment their income," he said.
