According to police, head constable Jai Bhagawan and constable Manoj Kumar had stopped the boy at around 9 am and were issuing him a challan when he called up his family members, who then along with a group of men reached the spot and thrashed the cops.

"The boy, a resident of Shubhash Colony in Bhajanpura, called up his father Sagir Ahmad and brother Shahnawaj, who arrived with their accomplices and thrashed the two cops on duty," a senior police officer.
