Road rage: Doctor assaulted in Jamia Nagar

In an apparent case of road rage, a doctor was attacked and injured by an unidentified person in front of Jamia Nagar Police station today.

Dr Mehraj Hussain was returning to his diagnostic centre in south Delhi's Okhla area when an i10 car hit his vehicle from behind.

"The car's driver then overtook my car and blocked my way. He came out and started abusing me, when I objected, he hit me on the head so hard that my ear started to bleed.

"By the time I could recover he fled with his car," said Hussain. He was then taken to Holy family hospital from where he was discharged after first aid.
 

An FIR has been registered in this regard at Jamia Nagar police station and police was trying to trace the attacker.
