Road rage: Woman who instigated son to attack DTC driver held

Police today arrested the mother of the youth who allegedly thrashed DTC bus driver Ashok Kumar to death in Mundka.

The woman, Roshni, who was accused of instigating his son Vijay for attacking Ashok, was arrested from Mundka. The accused Vijay was arrested late last night, police said.

Ashok (42) was driving a low-floor, non-AC bus of Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) which grazed the bike of Vijay in Mundka. Both Vijay and her mother Roshni, who was riding pillion, fell on the road.

Following this, Ashok was brutally attacked by Vijay and Roshni instigated him to hit the bus driver, police said.
 

Both Vijay and Roshni were produced in the court of Metropolitan Magistrate by the police. They were sent to judicial custody till May 25.

DTC drivers today went on a strike, demanding a compensation of Rs one crore to family of Ashok.
