Schools in the area have extended support to this initiative of the traffic police.
"Besides holding traffic rules and road safety awareness workshops for the students, we have been motivating them to stop their parents whenever they violate traffic rules. At the parent teachers meeting too, we are motivating the parents to obey traffic rules," said Jasmine Gandhi, director, Billabong High International School.
The traffic police observes the road safety month in November every year and holds workshops at schools, colleges and community centres.
