The expansion of roads and railways are happening at an accelerated pace in different parts of the country, including the North East, a senior NITI Aayog official said today.
NITI Aayog advisor (Transport) Manoj Singh said roads and railways expansion are being done at an accelerated speed and much more could be seen taking off by end of current fiscal.
He also pitched for a proper coordination system for the Army and the civilian authorities to ensure holistic development of logistics.
At present, not many channels of communication are open between army and civil and that time has come to take a serious note of it so that a proper coordination is developed in this direction, Singh was quoted as saying by industry body PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
