A provincial official says four Afghan police officers were killed and another one was wounded when their vehicle struck a roadside bomb in the country's south.
Omer Zwak, spokesman for the provincial governor of Helmand province, said today that the incident occurred last evening while the policemen were on their way back from an operation in Sangin district.
Zwak says the police vehicle was completely destroyed in the blast. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack in Sangin.
