Police today claimed to have busted an inter-district gang of robbers with the arrest of four of its members.
On a tip off, a police team raided a brick kiln in Pandwa village and arrested the robbers, Kapurthala SSP Inderbir Singh.
950 grams of intoxicating powder, a motorcycle, four mobile phones and a cache of weapons was recovered from their possession, he said, adding the kingpin of the gang is already behind the bars in a drugs case.
The gang members are accused of killing a person on March 29 in a highway robbery, besides being involved a number of loot cases, Singh said.
