Robbers kill two, loot cash, valuables

Armed robbers allegedly killed two women before looting cash worth Rs 10,000 and gold jewellery from a house in Bhoma village in Gurdaspur district of Punjab, police said here today.

The robbers stormed into the house of Labh Singh in the wee hours yesterday and gagged to death his wife Sharanpreet Kaur (23) and mother Baljit Kaur (55) and decamped with the booty, Batala SSP Tulsi Ram said.

Singh was not present in the house when the incident took place, they said.

A case has been registered in this regard while the further probes are on, the SSP added.
