A group of robbers today looted over half a kg of gold from the office of a private finance company in the busy Mango locality under Mango police station limits here, a senior police officer said.
Around half a dozen robbers entered the premises of Muthoot Finance Limited in Mango and looted the gold kept in the wooden box at gun point, said Senior Superintendent of Police Amol V Homkar.
Homkar said, primary investigations have revealed that over an half kg of the yellow metal was looted and further investigation was still on.
He did not rule out the possibility of involvement of company employees and added that security arrangements of the finance company was not adequate.
