"The robbers held hostage employees of the State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur (SBBJ) and some customers inside the premises and decamped with Rs 5 lakh in cash. They also injured a security guard," SP Bharatpur Anshuman Bhomia said.
He said that when a tea vendor went inside the bank, he found the employees and customers bolted inside the strong room of the bank, which is located on the outskirts of the city," he said.
The bank did not have CCTV cameras, he said, adding that efforts were on to nab the culprits.
